Many years ago, we found a small space in Qiandao Lake, overlooking the rolling islands. After three years of vacancy during the pandemic, we revisited it. Through this dialogue with the space, we explored new possibilities for shaping states and senses. We reconsidered the shifting and intertwining of work and life in the post-pandemic era, both now and in the future. The digital age has also opened up new possibilities for the integration of the two. We restructured the spatial order, breaking down the previously rigid sense of enclosure and creating a dynamic scene that allows for movement and exploration. A healing space for a brief respite can be a sensory experience, transitioning from presence to absence.

When we are exhausted from the fast-paced city, this space connects the outer world with the inner world, drawing on the natural landscape and sunlight to rejuvenate the body and mind. Here, space is more than just four walls and a roof; it is an expression of the human spirit, imbued with a love of life and a pursuit of the spiritual. This is more than just a temporary escape from the city; it is a constant source of tranquility and harmony, allowing us to unwind and rest.
